From the starting point to the live website.
The situation
Doriana Frau and Claudio Tenca, members of ANFM (the Italian association of professional photographers), have documented more than 300 weddings across Lombardy and beyond. Their WordPress site, built on their own, had filled up with text over time and the photographs had slipped into the background.
Design choices
We reduced the structure to the sections a couple looks at before writing: weddings, family, portraits, about, services. Images are shown whole and large. The text supports them; it doesn't replace them.
What was delivered
- Separate sections for weddings, family and portraits
- Large-format galleries, without crops
- Introduction to Doriana and Claudio and to the video and drone services
- Migration from WordPress to a fast static site
