Liquid, based in Milan, builds custom software for Italian SMEs: management systems, CRMs, customer portals and internal tools. A first version with a defined scope starts at €1,000 and goes live in 2–4 weeks. The code and the data stay with the company, with no per-user licences.
When custom software makes sense
It makes sense when the process is specific to your company and bending a generic tool to fit costs more time than it saves. The signs are almost always the same: Excel sheets running next to the management system, information scattered across email and WhatsApp, procedures only one person knows.
If a product on the market solves the problem, we tell you on the first call. We only build when it's the cheapest solution in the medium term.

Custom software or an off-the-shelf program?
An off-the-shelf program makes sense when your process looks like that of thousands of other companies: accounting, payroll, email marketing. Custom software makes sense when the value lies in the way you work and the ready-made program forces you to change it.
Often the answer is somewhere in between: you keep the management system and build only the missing piece, connected to the data that already exists. It's the solution we propose most often.
How we build it
The work starts with analysing the process together with the people who will use the tool every day. From there we define a small scope: the functions that solve the main problem, without everything else.
The first version goes live in 2–4 weeks and is used in day-to-day work. Later functions are added based on use, not on a list written at a desk. It's the fastest way to get to software the team actually adopts.
Technology and ownership
We build web applications in TypeScript, Next.js and PostgreSQL, hosted on cloud infrastructure registered to your company. The code written for you is handed over. There are no per-user licences and no lock-in.
